MIELI - MIND (2004)
Earlier it was common to separate soul from body by thinking that a free soul is a prisoner in a fleshy cell of the body. These days social scientists have turned the thought upside-down: A human being that is made as an object of knowledge (that is soul, individual, consciousness, behaviour) is a consequence and an object of discipline and supervising: the body has become a prisoner of the soul.

How does a human being experience (his or her) mind?
Where does s/he place it?

If you pose this question to someone, usually the reply is that well... somewhere it is like hanging along... Or if you inquire what is the landscape of a human mind like, it is also always different: a forest, a bottom of an ocean, a desert, a highway, a house, right behind the forehead...

So how to express the mind as a physical event? Thinking consists of mainly images: recollections, inner images, also words can transform into images -at this point it is a must
to quote Albert Einstein: "To me the physical variables thinking consists of are visual by nature...
and muscular. Common words and other signs should not be searched for laboriously
until in the second phase, when the associative game as mentioned is stable enough and can be reproduced when necessary."

And what else? Consiousness and unconsciousness. The mind is a constant play of associations, even when unconsiouss -and for everyone, the paths of associations live their own original life guided by its processes and emotions. The aim: an open and light space, where mind is free to wander.
